Construction Progresses On 185-Unit Apartment Building At 250 College Ave.

West End Place, a 185-unit market rate apartment building progresses with it’s renovation of the former St. Joseph’s Hospital at 250 College Ave. in Lancaster City’s College Park Neighborhood on the border of Chestnut Hill.

The project, involving a joint venture between Washington Place Equities and HDC MidAtlantic, is estimated to cost $90 million. Warfel Construction is managing the development.

The hospital closed in 2019 after 135 years of operation. The new apartment community plans to offer amenities including a fitness center, resident lounge, co-working space, cafe, and rooftop terrace.

Construction is expected to be complete in 2026.
