423 W Chestnut St, Photos by Joseph Sitzwohl
The Wolf Museum of Music & Art building at 423 W Chestnut St broke ground in August on a new construction addition. The existing structure remains prominently situated on the corner of Lancaster Ave and W Chestnut Street and the addition is partially hidden in the former yard space of the property which has now been excavated.
The Wolf Museum of Music & Art closed during the COVID-19 pandemic and never re-opened. The property was sold to Jeffrey Eshleman in October of 2023 for $700,000. It is not yet publicly known what the future purpose of the new construction or site at large is intended for by the owner.
Contractors DC Gohn Associates were hired to survey the property prior to construction and Stephen M. Daniels Electrical Contractors have since been on-site to handle electric. J.R. Home Improvements previously worked on rehabbing the existing building.
