Construction at the Boys & Girls Club located at 231 W. Lemon Street commenced earlier this month. Plans include construction of a new ADA compliant front entrance, conversion of girls and boys bathrooms into single-occupancy bathrooms, and the addition of a dedicated space for teens.
The project received $600,000 of funding from the American Rescue Plan Act (ARPA) when City Council approved plans in April of 2023. The City of Lancaster received $39.5M total in ARPA funding from the federal government allocated in 2021.
Access to neighboring properties Mayor Janice C. Stork Corridor Park and Lemon Street Market remain open.
York based builder, Keystruct, is leading development of the site. Plumbing and HVAC contractor, Frey Lutz, was also onsite this week.
