Interior renovations progress at 139 N Charlotte St. which was acquired by Community Fellowship Church (CFC) in January of 2025. The historic property, originally built in 1841, is set to be CFC’s second Lancaster County church location.
A commercial permit for interior alterations was filed in March with an estimated cost of $1,856,915. This was 1 of only 3 permits filed in March with estimated costs of $1M+ in Lancaster City.
Most of the work is unseen from the outside but the stain glass windows have been noticeably cleaned.
The .20 acre property sits on the prominent corner of W Chestnut and N Charlotte and has a total assessed value of $929,300, though it was conveyed to CFC for $1 according to public records.
Contractors MVE Group and Commonwealth Fire Protection have been on-site in early June presumably working on updating the electrical and fire sprinkler emergency services respectively.
