Demolition nears completion at 17 W Vine St, the future site of Mosaic, since commencing work in late January 2025. Mosaic is a planned 20-story residential tower by Willow Valley Communities, dedicated to 55+ adult living.
Upon completion it will eclipse Lancaster Marriott at Penn Square as the tallest building in both Lancaster City and County. Mosaic has a planned height of 244 feet tall versus the Marriott’s 224 foot height and 19 stories.
Previously, Lancaster Newspaper (LNP) production buildings sat on site at the northwest corner of South Queen and West Vine streets. The property was sold to Willow Valley Communities in 2019 for $9.6 million. Also, on the same block facing Queen St sits the historic Jasper Yeates House which will be preserved.
CCS Building Group is the General Contractor for the project and designs were developed by architectural firm, Gensler. Demolition specialist company, Metro, has been enlisted to handle this phase of development.
